Review & Compare 2019 Toyota Highlander Trims The 2019 Toyota Highlander has 6 trims. See the beautiful Quiet Corner of Connecticut as you run the Highland Half Marathon starting in Scotland, Connecticut. Every runner gets a unique Finisher's Medal! Shirt size is guaranteed if registered by March 13th, 2023. *New This Year*. We will have a relay option. Grab your running buddy and split the course. We're still working out some of the logistics, but the exchange will be somewhere between the 7th and 8th mile. Timeline of Events 0800-0945 Bib Pick-up 0850 National Anthem 0855 Final Instructions 0900 Early Start 0950 National Anthem 0955 Final Instructions 1000 Regular and Relay Start 1245ish Awards Parking will be in the field across from the Fire Department. Use 47 S Brook Rd Scotland, Ct for your GPS. Bib pick-up will be inside the Community Room at the Fire Dept. You will get your race shirt at that time. Shirt size is guaranteed if registered by March 13th. The start line is actually just past Scotland Elementary School, which is down the road from the Fire Dept. The finish line is in front of the school. Make sure you cross the timing mat when you start and also when you finish. The course you will be running is USATF certified. There are cell phone "dead zones" on the course. We'll have the miles mark, but don't be surprised if you look at your smartwatch or phone and there is a discrepancy with the distance. What we do know is the start and finish because of the certification. Here is the web address to the map. Relay Teams Each team will get one bib. Runner 1 will cross the start timing mat, then pass the bib to their teammate. Runner 2 will cross the finish timing mat. This will give each team their total on course time. We ask that Runner 2 drive to the Relay Exchange at the 4th Hydration Station. The address is 483 Back Road, Windham. Volunteers will be there to assist you. Please be mindful of runners on the course as you drive to the exchange/back to the Fire House. There will be 6 hydration stations about every 2 miles. Every station will have water and gatorade and 2 stations middle and towards end will have jelly beans. There will be one port-o-potty around the halfway point of the course. There will be indoor bathrooms at the fire dept. Since you're running in the country, there will be plenty of areas you can "pull off the side of the road" if you need to relieve yourself. Please be respectful and avoid resident's manicured lawns. The course starts in Scotland and crosses into Hampton, Chaplin and Windham. There will be first responders from several of the surrounding towns on the course. The roads are open to traffic. The first responders will use their presence and vehicles to help slow traffic and manage road crossings. Please stay to the side of the roads. After you finish, we will have bagels, bananas and other snacks. We will present awards after the majority of runners have completed. All runners will be eligible for awards. Categories will be overale male, female, non-binary then 3 deep in age groups. If there are enough teams, we'll do 3 deep in male, female and mixed categories. Early start is for those who need at least 3 hours to finish. We want to ensure course support as everyone runs their race at their pace. Please let us know before 1 April if you need to change from the regular to the early start. If you have any questions, please ask. Thank you for supporting Scotland, Ct's Half Marathon! We hope you enjoy the scenery on the course and the medal you will earn.
